Words can not sum up how amazing this year has been for me and my business.

I first want to take the time and thank my awesome husband for all of his support and for standing behind me. I can't thank you enough. I want to also thank my awesome kiddos for their support. Their willingness to help mommy scope out some new locations and to model tickles my heart. So thank you Josh and my kiddos for all of your support. You have helped make this year a huge success.

Finally I want to take the time and thank all of my AMAZING clients. From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU for allowing me to capture precious memories for your families.

I had the most WONDERFUL session this morning. I had the opportunity to hold and cuddle with another adorable newborn. Little Liam was a dream to photograph. He was so calm when his was awake and gave me some AWESOME eye contact. I still can't get over his hair either. :)

He is loved by him mommy and daddy so much. Thank you Cara and Jesse for sharing your sweet baby boy with me this morning. He is just too precious and is blessed with some AMAZING parents.

These girls were so much fun to work with. They have a new record...the most outfit changes during a session. Ha! I knew right from the start that I was going to have an extremely hard time picking my favorites. They rocked the session and there are way too many images that I LOVE!

This morning I got to cuddle with this sweet little girl. She is too cute. She had a head full of beautiful black hair and had the most adorable rosy chunky cheeks. :) She slept beautifully the whole time and was super easy to work with. Big sis was also a great helper today. She even sat in my lap while we captured a few images. She loved when I had the Christmas hat on her baby sister and even wanted to join in the fun. I can't say it enough I ♥ my job!

I seriously love watching families grow. Less than two years ago this family went from two to three and now they are a family of four! They are sweetest family and just so much fun to capture.

Their newest addition is the sweetest bundle of joy. She is the smallest newborn I have captured yet. She is just under six pounds. Too cute! Her big brother was so sweet with her today. He loved holding her hand. :) I think he is going to be a GREAT big brother!

I can't believe baby Tegan is almost 4 months old already. It seems like just yesterday I captured her newborn pictures. She loved being outside in the arms of mommy and daddy. She has the most beautiful smile too. Such a sweet little girl!

I have been looking forward to this session for a long time. I have been photographing their precious little girl over the past year as one of my baby planners. She graduated from my baby plan but mom and dad wanted some family portraits this fall.
I got super excited when they told me that they wanted another session because I have been dieing to take some portraits on the golf course in their back yard.

So...tonight we hopped in their AWESOME golf cart and went cruising around the golf course in their neighborhood. The golf course is ABSOLUTELY beautiful! I really enjoyed riding around and looking at all the beauty! Seriously I have the best job!!!

I had so much fun this evening capturing the Williams family. We were originally supposed to have our session last Tuesday but we showed up at the location and then it started to downpour. So we rescheduled for this evening and everything was perfect!

Meet the Lawless family! They traveled here from Florida to hang out in the Ga mountains, go apple picking and have family portraits done too. Wow!!! I am impressed with all the planning they had in their mini vacation and am so honored that I had the opportunity to capture them this morning.

They were so much fun to hang out with and I LOVED their outfits. Mom did a fabulous job putting everything together. I told her that I should do a "what to wear" post with their pictures. Everything coordinated very well.

Tonight I had the privilege of capturing the "C" family!

They have some of the cutest little girls.

When this is the first picture you take you know it's going to be a great session. :)

I just love capturing families being "real".

So during our session we had a friend come visit. I was in the middle of taking pictures of the two girls when I see a pony walk up by us. I asked mom if they had a pony...nope! LOL!!! So we quickly scooped up the kiddos and took them inside until the pony decided to leave. We laughed it off and went back to capturing some beautiful moments. ;)

So Lindsay is one of my senior reps and tonight we got to have her official senior session. Since we did portraits back in the spring for her rep cards we wanted to make this session more about her hobbies and interests. We wanted to capture in essence who she is.

Lindsay is an avid Starbucks junkie! Ha!!! She loves to read and one of her favorite things to read is her Bible. She loves her little dog Keiko. She loves photography. Oh and she loves her brother and sister!

This session was lots of fun. We got so much variety that I am going to have to split her sneak peek up and have two blog posts. :)

First up her cupcake smash. Ms. A gave us a huge workout this morning while capturing her one year old shots. She was on the go the whole time. LOL!!! She would not sit still for a second. I still managed to get some AMAZING shots but you will have to see those tomorrow. ;)

We decided to end the session with a cupcake smash. Now let me tell you once she was put by the cupcakes she didn't move. Gave me a much needed break. LOL! She was LOVING the cupcakes from CREATIONS BAKERY! Not only did the cupcakes look AMAZING...they were DELICIOUS!!! You can find Creations Bakery on facebook too.

She was just a little excited when mommy put her by the cupcakes. :)

I hope everyone is having a great long weekend! Yesterday we were able to drive up to Chickamauga GA and visit with family. Our kids always love going to see Grandpa and Grandma on their farm. Mahada Farms

Today they were super excited because they wanted to ride the horses. It rained most of the drive but once we arrived it stopped raining and the kids got to ride the horses, feed the sheep, play with the dogs and look at all the chickens! :)

I have so many pictures from our trip...

This is one of my favorites from the day. My oldest son was getting on the horse and everyone else lined up to watch. ♥

My daughter LOVES dogs. Having two to play with made her day!!!

I love my little man's smile in this picture. Oh the joy!!!

Grandma gave the older two a quick lesson and then let them have the reigns. I was very impressed!

Urban Ballerina! {Buford Photographer}

This past weekend I had the opportunity to meet up with some photographer friends and do what we love...take pictures!!! I invited one of my friends daughter to model for us. I have been wanting to capture an urban ballerina and she was perfect. She is just so beautiful and the costume she had was absolutely perfect for an urban ballerina shoot.

I follow a website and blog I ♥ faces that has a new challenge every week. I don't usually get to participate but last night I had a session and some of the photos I captured fit the theme so well that I needed to join in on the fun. :)

When planning this session with mom I told her I would love to do a tea party on a quilt in an open field with her girls. The girls sat down to have their tea party fun and then dad decided to join in. What a great daddy! It was so much fun to watch them interact and I was able to capture such a sweet moment.

I have been planning this photo shoot with Cathi for sometime now. We went back and forth on locations and dates but finally got something set. I don't think it could have worked out better. Today's session was AMAZING!!! The weather was perfect and the location was perfect. Top that off with a BEAUTIFUL family and you have one SWEET photo session.

A few weeks back I received a message through my site from Rosalie about 50th wedding anniversary portraits. 50th wedding anniversary?!? WOW that is AMAZING!!! I asked her how she found my site and she said she was just surfing the web and stumbled upon my site. She loved my work and wanted me to take some portraits.

I had so much fun capturing them tonight. They were just so adorable together. So full of laughter and you could tell how much they truly loved each other. I was talking to them about how they first met. Michael said they had a 32 hour grey hound bus ride and the rest is history. Now 50 years later here are Mr. & Mrs. Reece.

When ending the session I was talking to them about their storyboard and Rosalie said she wanted the wording on the storyboard to be "This is what LOVE looks like!" ♥

When Lois and Matt pulled up for their baby's one year session both of the boys were sleeping in the back seat. Uh oh! I took one look at Lois and Matt and said "Don't wake them yet! You look too adorable together not to capture a few of just you and that new baby bump." So here is a mini shoot we did before the boys decided to wake up and join us. :)

It's been awhile since I have posted "mine on Monday!"

School is out and my kids are learning what will allow them to stay up late. Usually their tricks don't work on me but this past week my son was in pj's and ready for bed. He comes to me and says, "Hey mom can you take pictures of me?" This time it worked. He was speaking my "love language". :)

So he quickly changed and we jumped in the van and drove to a near field. Anything to stay up late I guess.

Meet Natalie! She was such a wonderful model for me yesterday. She barley made a peep and just slept most of the time.

I always tell my newborn clients that it's best to get the pictures done within the first two weeks after birth. I even prefer within that first week. Natalie showed me why yesterday. She slept almost the whole time. Just woke up to eat and then was right back to sleep.

I ♥ this family! We go way back. Jeremy was actually a groomsmen in my wedding 10 years ago. ;)

Jeremy and my husband both served in the Marine Corps together and we have crossed paths quite a few times over the past 10 years. We definitely don't get together as much as we should but when we do it's a sweet time.

Jeremy contacted me when I was offering the "Mother's day" special and wanted to book a session with me. They drove a good two hours to meet up with us this past Saturday. I am honored that they allowed me to capture their beautiful family.

On Monday I had the opportunity to partner with Sweet & Sassy- Cumming GA. If you have never been in their store, you must go and check it out.

I was honored when they called and asked if I wanted to partner with them. They already hold a special place in my life. I want to share my story, so sit tight...I promise I will get to the photos.

My three year old daughter (now 5) decided to give herself a mohawk one day. We were devastated by what she did to her hair. We hadn't lived here that long so we really didn't know the area too well. I took her to a local kid's haircut store and asked them to help fix it. They were so mean to my little girl and told her multiple times that she looked like a boy. We ended up leaving in tears and I decided that it was time to get her ears pierced to help build her self esteem. I looked online and found Sweet & Sassy. I called them and told them what had happened, and they squeezed us into their schedule for that day.

When we arrived they made a point to make my daughter feel very special. They gave her STAR treatment. They told her multiple times how beautiful she was and just made her day. It meant the world to me that they would go out of their way to help my little girl feel special. Ever since that day, we have not gone anywhere else to get her hair cut. She actually goes with daddy a lot of the times for 'daddy-daughter' dates. ♥

Here she is just after her she got her ears pierced. Despite what had happened, she is happy and smiling after being treated so well at Sweet & Sassy.

Ok enough with me reminiscing and lets fast forward two years later...

Sweet & Sassy has a special girl's night planned for next Friday May 13th: "Dolly & Me"! Up-Do's for girls & their dolls, limo ride, pizza & snacks and more! They were needing some marketing photos for this event and future events. It was so great working with them and I hope that we will get to work together more in the near future!

You may recognize this little beauty. I have been photographing her since she was a newborn. I always look forward to her sessions because momma always has the CUTEST props and ideas.

It's been a few weeks since I posted "mine on Monday"! My little girl will be in her very first ballet recital next month. After dance a few weeks back all the girls surprised us moms by coming out in their recital costumes. I told my little girl as soon as I saw her in it that she was SOOOO modeling for me. :) I still want to do a urban type shoot with her but for now we did a few studio type portraits.

The older my kids get the more they want to model for me. I am LOVING it! Several weeks back my oldest two said they wanted to go out and model in a field I have been wanting to shoot in. Well this was supposed to be a "Mine on Monday" post but life happened and I am just getting to it right now. ;)

My youngest will be three at the end of this month. We decided it was time for him to get a big boy bed and a new room. We went with a car/truck theme and I wanted his three year portraits to go with his room theme.

Yesterday it was absolutely beautiful, so we ventured out and here are the results!

This one is the winner! I want it BIG on his wall. ;) Once I have it printed and hanging I will make sure to share pictures of his finished room.

The only thing is should I go color or black and white?

I am looking for juniors who will be seniors in 2012 to help promote my business to their friends. Applications will be collected until March 30th, 2011 from anyone interested in becoming one of my Senior Reps. I will accept one student from each local high school in early April.

An ideal senior rep for Digital Memories by Debbie Koehler must:

· Be a 2012 Senior.

· Have parent permission to be a rep

· Pass out your rep cards with friends and promote Digital Memories by Debbie Koehler.

· Keep watermark images from your shoot on your Facebook page.

· Allow your images to be featured on our website, promotional materials and Facebook fan page.

· Be actively involved in your school and community

· A 30 minute “Mini Session” before May 1, 2011

· Up to 10 web sized, watermarked images to share on your Facebook pages and with your family and friends

Oh my goodness I can't believe another one of my baby planners is ONE! I am so blessed with the cutest clients. Ms. Caroline kept me on my toes during this session. She was so much fun to capture and the cake smash at the end was so funny. Caroline decided she wanted her feet to enjoy the cake too. ;)

Henri is one my baby planners but also the son of some very good friends of mine. His mommy begged me to photograph his Christening. I typically don't do events like this because I am an all natural light photographer and this church didn't really have all that much. :) Although the lighting conditions where not something to be desired the actually ceremony was beautiful. Yesterday I had the privilege of photographing these two cuties for their Grammy! It was super cold so it was probably one of my fastest sessions to date! Thanks Anne for sharing your grand babies with me for a little bit yesterday. They are precious.

Ms. C will be one tomorrow. It's always such a joy seeing my baby planners turn one. It's such a special time. The first year of a baby’s life is filled with many milestones. I am so glad that I have had the opportunity of watching this little one grow. She is adorable. She looks like a precious baby doll.
